Jeremy Renner has shared his first update since his accident involving a snow plough on New Year's Day.
The actor, best known for playing Hawkeye in the Marvel films, suffered from blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries following the accident which took place outside his ranch in Lake Tahoe.
A representative for Renner shared an update on Monday night to announce that he was in a "critical but stable" condition and his family released a statement to thank everyone for the support.
Last night, the Marvel star took to Instagram himself to thank fans for their kind words. He shared a selfie showing bruising on the left side of his face and wrote that he wasn't able to type.

Jeremy owns a ranch in Lake Tahoe (based in the California mountains) which was hit by a major storm on New Year’s Eve.
When the accident happened, Jeremy reportedly had been ploughing snow outside his house so his family could safely leave the ranch.
According to reports, Jeremy lost a lot of blood during the incident and suffered “extensive” injuries to his leg and other parts of his body.
