Bringing Adele back was definitely the best move!
James Corden's popular US chat show is coming to an end this week, and he's pulling out all the stops for the grand finale.
It was hinted that he'd bring back some famous guests he's had before, so people were already geared up for the return of Adele to Carpool Karaoke. The first video went viral for a reason, we'll never forget her absolutely tearing through Nicki Minaj's verse in Monster.
In the first edition of Carpool Karaoke with Adele, the 14-minute video starts with James Corden ringing Adele from his car, riffing on her song Hello, which was her latest single at the time.
For the comeback video, it starts with Adele creeping into Corden's house to wake him up by banging cymbals. Hard to imagine he wasn't forewarned about that rude awakening.
And thus begins his final Carpool Karaoke, Adele is in the driver seat this time, giving James a lift to his final week of shows.
As well as the usual sing-song, the video is intercut with clips from the pair trying to prank each other and there's lots of heartfelt chat about their memories together as friends.
It's here that Adele reveals that her song I Love Wine was inspired by her good friend James. He was going through a tough time when she wrote that song for him and the pair of them got emotional in the car together as Adele talked about it.
As well as singing some of her newer tracks that came out since the last Carpool Karaoke, she ran through a few of her classics like Rolling In The Deep and an incredible cover of Barbra Streisand's Don't Rain On My Parade!
