Rowling finally revealed why she was a no-show to the recent Harry Potter reunion!
In recent interview on Graham Norton’s Radio Show, Rowling denied claims she was “snubbed” from the HBO Max special, and said despite rumours she wasn't invited, she claimed that “no one said don’t come”.

Speaking on the reunion she said: “Yeah, I was asked to be on that and I decided I didn’t want to do it,”
She continued: “I thought it was about the films more than the books, you know, quite rightly. I mean, that was what the anniversary was about.”
Rowling however, did appear in the HBO Max special, as they used old clips of the author.
It was believed that the author didn't make an appearance in the reunion special due to her comments on transgender people.
This came after she posted a tweet about “people who menstruate” in an article that had been written for Devex.
‘People who menstruate.’ I’m sure there used to be a word for those people. Someone help me out. Wumben? Wimpund? Woomud?

Since the Tweet went viral, Rowling has rarely been seen at public events.
