The latest instalment of Fifty Shades of Grey is set to be one of the biggest selling books of the year. Grey which is told from the perspective of Christian, is the top Kindle pre-order book of 2015.
It was released at midnight and is topping the charts this morning. Eason stores around the country opened early to deal with the crowds.
Stephen Boylan from the book shop told the Irish Mirror: '2015 has been a year of surprises with Harper Lee announcing a new novel and a fourth book from EL James.
'We’re absolutely delighted to have Grey fall into the schedule and we’re certainly anticipating it to be one of the biggest books of the year so far.'
Publisher Vintage Books said demand for the novel has been ''consistent with the other books in the trilogy'', which have sold more than 125 million copies worldwide.
