Idris Elba is currently one of the biggest movie stars on the planet right now and is often praised for his perfect American accent... But, that wasn't always the case!
In a interview clip which has now resurfaced and gone viral, the actor explains that they once had to dub over his 'American accent' only to replace it with another voice actor, which he claims was also terrible!
The actor who turns 50 today on September the 6th, once played a small part in the 1994 series Space Precinct.
Idris chatted all about it in a previous interview with Graham Norton saying "They dubbed my voice, It's not me."
Speaking on whoever dubbed his voice, Idris said "Whoever it was didn't even do a good American accent either!"
In another recent interview with the actor, he revealed he use to go to barbershops to try and perfect his American accent saying "If you want to talk about the basketball game in an English accent, it doesn't come across as good!"
Recently Idris has been out on the road promoting his new film Beast which made viral headlines after he revealed his daughter failed to land a role in the movie....AWKWARD!
