The Legend of Tarzan features the original song “Better Love,” created especially for the film by Hozier. It's the first time the Wicklow native has composed a song specifically for a major motion picture.
98FM's Rebecca Shekleton caught up with Hozier to chat about the song and when we can expect to hear new music from him.
"I hope so. I'm going to do my best. I've been on the road for a long time. I've been looking forward to a break and just to work on the next album. I'd say it will be next year before I have the album out."
He also opened up about what he misses about Ireland when he's on the road.
"When people come over from Ireland, they bring over a lot of Cadbury's chocolate and it's either Tayto or King crips and then Barry's Tea. Just a lot of tea and chocolate. It's the simple things.
To a crew who have been on the road for about a year and a half, who are in the middle of Salt Lake City in America, the sight of Kerry Gold and a packet of crisps would bring tears to the eye."
Hozier also chatted to Rebecca about his friendship with Irish-Canadian band ROMES. Their debut single 'Believe' has been making waves both at home and abroad.
