Now there’s a story!

Steve Buscemi was hanging out in Dalkey over the weekend, and intervened following “a vicious fight” outside a pub.

The Hollywood legend is currently in the country filming the second season of the hit Netflix show Wednesday.

The Reservoir Dogs actor has been spotted around town the last few weeks but no one expected to see him in the circumstances he found himself in at the weekend.

Oisín Heavey was eating at the pub at the time of the incident and told the Irish Independent no one recognised the famous actor while he was enjoying his meal but he noticed a commotion outside the restaurant just as he left.

“We could see there were loads of people outside, kind of looking up towards where he had gone, so we assumed he was spotted.”

"When we went outside, there was actually a very vicious fight going on, and that’s what everybody was looking at."

He added that the actor went on being unnoticed while the fight happened but did try to help a man who had been knocked to the ground.

“He was very close to it, but he held himself back from breaking it up," he said.

"He stood over the guy on the ground for a few seconds, and the fight naturally broke up after that. Some people said he broke up the fight, but he didn’t. He tried to help, which is more than most people would do."

It’s understandable that the Hollywood actor would be trying to keep his distance from the altercation when he actually has a history of being injured in a bar fight!

He was attacked with a knife outside a pub in North Carolina in 2001 and suffered wounds to the head and neck.

Last thing we need is to be giving Steve Buscemi PTSD!
