Holly Carpenter was recently slammed for her article that was published this week.
The model who wrote about her New Year's Eve celebrations, received a backlash from social media saying that the column could be compared to a child's school essay.
The Dublin native has now spoken out to all the social media haters saying, "I think people over-reacted and I can’t understand or relate to anyone who gets a thrill out of typing nasty words about someone else with the aim of upsetting them."
She did admit that she was very busy when she wrote the article, and could understand why people thought it didn't sound like her.
She wrote, "However, last week I wasn't quite as organised as usual – it was New Year’s Eve after all – and I had to do a quick interview over the phone before it went to print, just to add some details."
"I found it extremely frustrating and embarrassing getting so much hate over a few words in the social part of my column."
She did end on a funny note, going along with the joke saying, "But on a serious note – if you’re heading out for food this weekend, don’t forget that Tapas always works great for a crowd!"
