Glastonbury 2016 kicks off today, but traffic chaos and wet weather has forced police to warn ticket-holders against travelling to the site.

It's reported that some festival goers have been travelling for more than 20 hours and still haven't reached the site because of bad traffic.

A video has emerged of the camping area covered in mud - with some music fans struggling to get their luggage into the field without getting stuck in the mud.

Meanwhile, some people have even been towed into the carpark because the muck is so bad.

The poor weather is set to continue. The Met Office has posted a weather update on its Twitter account:

Adele, Coldplay and Muse headline the festival this weekend.
