Ed Sheeran has sent fans into overdrive this week after posting a series of cryptic tweets that appear to hint at the title of his new album.
This morning, the singer took to Twitter to post a division sign.

The Independent recently reported that Ed's album would likely be titled - (Subtract/Minus) or÷ (Divide) following the theme of his previous two albums, + (plus) released in 2011 and x (Multiply), from 2014.

Sheeran has also posted blue GIFs containing what appear to be song lyrics this week.
Due to the blue background on the moving image, some fans reckon he's teasing lyrics or a possible theme.

On New Year's Day, Ed announced that he'll be releasing new music on Friday. The singer posted a video on Twitter with the caption 'Hello 2017'.

Ed is rumoured to be performing at the 2017 Grammy Awards next month. There's also speculation that he'll headline Glastonbury this summer.
He's also booked in to perform his new music on The Graham Norton Show on January 20th.
There's no word yet on an Irish gig.
Sheeran returned to social media in mid-December after a year-long hiatus.
The singer updated his Twitter and Instagram accounts for the first time in 12 months with a single cryptic post: a blue background.
Back in December 2015, Ed announced a break from social media, promising to return in Autumn 2016 with new music.
He posted:
'To my family and friends, if you love me you will understand me buggering off for a bit, to my fans, the 3rd album is on its way and is the best thing I have made thus far. See you all next autumn, and thank you for being amazing.'
