Ed Sheeran has reportedly penned a song about his Irish granny for his new album.
The singer is back in studio working on the follow up to 2014's 'X', and his Nan Anne - who is from Wexford, is apparently the inspiration behind one of the tracks.
According to the Irish Daily Star, Ed is planning to release his new album in January.
A source told the paper: "There are 17 songs on the album, but Ed is trying to whittle that down. He has a song about his Irish grandmother on it."
"The new album is in the final mix. He had hoped it would be released by Christmas, but it looks like it won't be out until January."
Ed reportedly stayed with his Granny in Wexford ahead of his sold out concert at Croke Park last July.
Sheeran is returning to the limelight after a year long hiatus. The singer will perform at a charity gig at London's History Museum later this month.
The concert, which is fundraiser for the East Anglia Children's Hospice (EACH) group, marks Sheeran's official return to performing after taking a break from social media last year.
Speaking about the gig, Ed said:
"As an ambassador of EACH, I am enormously proud and excited to be joining them for their gala dinner event at the Natural History Museum on November 30."
We can't wait to hear his new music!
