We will be able to watch the Oscars live this year!
The 97th Academy Awards take place this Sunday, March 2nd at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre.
It has been announced that Wicked stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande will perform at the Oscars.
A post on the Academy Awards’ social media accounts read: “A spellbinding moment awaits. Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande take the #Oscars stage for a performance you won’t forget.”
Cynthia is nominated for Leading Actress for her portrayal of Elphaba, and Ariana is nominated for Supporting Actress for her role as Glinda.
Raye, Blackpink member Lisa, Queen Latifah, and Doja Cat will also be among the performers at this year’s Oscars. The ceremony will be hosted for the first time ever by US talk show host and comedian Conan O’Brien.
For the first time, the Oscars will be televised live on RTÉ One beginning at 12:00 a.m. on Monday.
