Hollywood actor Jim Carrey is set to face trial accused of supplying the drugs that killed his ex-girlfriend.
The mum of Cathriona White who was from Cappawhite in Tipperary is suing the 55 year old star.
It's alleged Carrey supplied the drugs that Cathriona took before she died by suicide in 2015.
He denies the charges and his lawyer had filed a motion to dismiss the case.
However an LA judge has struck out the motion and says the trial should go ahead.
It's expected to last 20 days.
