“Nice to get that off my chest”
Brian McFadden has spoken out for the first time since appearing on Nicky Byrne’s podcast last week.
The episode saw the singer address publicly for the first time, why he left Westlife back in 2004 and how the experience affected him.
Speaking to Nicky, Brian said looking back he realised leaving the band was “a selfish decision”.

"It was probably way too early to leave,” Brian said on the premiere episode of Nicky Byrne’s podcast, “But [at] the same time, my headspace, whatever was going on at home and having two kids and being away all the time, I was like 'No, I need to step away from this'."
Since its release, the podcast episode has garnered huge attention from across the world, and Brian has posted a video to his social media to thank fans for the response.
