Tickets to U2 at Croke Park sold out in minutes yesterday morning. The band will bring the Joshua Tree tour to the stadium on July 22nd, 30 years since the album was first released.

Some fans camped out all weekend to secure tickets, however people who missed out will have to cough up hundreds of euro if they want to see the gig.

80 thousand tickets were sold out in about 6 minutes, but some of the same tickets have turned up on secondary sites including a Ticketmaster company called Seatwave, which offers legitimate tickets for much higher prices.

Groups of fans started camping outside St Stephen's Green shopping centre from Friday onward. On Sunday night, some of them received a special delivery from Bono.

One man told Morning Ireland reporter Jackie Fox what happened.

"A waiter walks up the road, and a lady comes with him… She had 15 pizza boxes, and she said “Courtesy and compliments from Mr Bono himself, as a little gesture to you for queuing up all night.”

Fair play, Bono!
