A cat welfare organisation is calling for a ban of the breeding of Scottish Folds - a breed which has garnered popularity among A-list celebrities such as Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift.
Their tiny folded ears and big doe eyes have made the creatures a fan favourite.
But according to the charity Cats Protection, these distinctive traits are down to genetic disorders.
They believe the breeding of the species should be outlawed out of concern for their health.
Pop sensation Swift regularly posts pictures of her Scottish folds, Meredith Grey and Olivia Benson, to Instagram for her 230 million followers to see.
