Two women have been arrested after cannabis worth €66,000 was seized in Dublin, along with almost €15,000 in cash.

Gardaí from the Crumlin District Drugs Unit stopped and searched a vehicle on the Drimnagh Road this morning.

They discovered 2 kilos of cannabis herb in the boot, and €14,930 euro in cash concealed within the car.

Two women in their 20s were arrested at the scene and taken to Crumlin Garda Station where they can be held for up to a week.

During a follow up search operation at a house in Dublin 12, Gardaí seized a further quantity of cannabis herb and cannabis resin.

All drugs will now be sent for analysis and the investigation is continuing.
