There are calls for the Tanaiste to bring all sports venues under ticket touting laws.
It's after tickets for the Republic of Ireland's upcoming match with Portugal appeared on re-selling websites at inflated prices.
The legislation which came into effect in July, allows for organisations to designate venues or individual events to stop tickets being sold above face value.
The FAI has said it only applied for the match at the Aviva Stadium to be designated under the legislation yesterday.
And in the last few minutes, tanaiste leo vardakar has confirmed his department HAS received that application.

Despite ticket touting already occuring for this game, protection can be granted after the fact if an application is made.
The Minister Leo Varadkar can also designate the event himself.
Aviva Stadium management have been contacted for comment.
