A business group says plans to increase building heights in Dublin's Docklands 'lack ambition'.
Dublin City Council has proposed allowing taller blocks in the North Lotts and Grand Canal district.
As part of a review into building heights in the Strategic Development Zone, the council has proposed increasing heights by up to six storeys, with buildings of between 12 and 15 floors.
While a residential tower of up to 25 storeys is also part of the plans. DCC says the building could act as a mirror image to the already constructed Capital Docks block.
The council says the towers could create a gateway to the city at the mouth of the Liffey.
However Dublin Chamber says the plans don't go far enough.
According to the Irish Times, the business group says buildings in the area would still be far lower than those in the vicinity of the SDZ.
The organisation pointed to the 17 storey EXO tower and a proposed 22 storey building on Tara Street.
