It's been confirmed a man found dead in a burning car in Lucan had been shot a number of times.
The victim, who still hasn't been identified, was found in a navy Toyota Corolla at Mount Andrew Court on Monday night.
Gardai have now confirmed he was shot "a number of times" before the car was set on fire.
Superintendent Paul Dolan from Lucan Garda Station said officers are "following a specific line of inquiry" in relation to who the man is.
DNA and dental records are being checked to confirm the victim's identity.
Anyone who saw the navy Toyota Corolla in the area at the time of the man's murder is asked to contact Gardai.
Its registration number was 05CW2225.
It's understood this car was sold on Wednesday 13th November.
Gardai have asked for anyone who has dash-cam footage of the car in question to offer it up.
To jog the public's memory, Gardai have pointed out the killing happened at the same time the Ireland v Denmark game was on.
Anyone who can help with the investigation can phone Lucan Garda Station 01-6667300, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
