We won't lie, we're dying for this...

Britney Spears is reportedly planning an explosive tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey ahead of her memoir The Woman In Me, which is set for release on the 24th of October.

According to The Sun, the singer is in two minds about the big interview, as she still faces difficulty opening up about her trauma to strangers.

If it does go ahead, it would be Britney's first major interview since her 13-year conservatorship ended in November 2021.

Meanwhile, television networks and online streaming platforms are fighting for the chance to be the ones to exclusively broadcast what could be one of the most talked-about celebrity interviews ever.

"Significant financial sums" have reportedly been offered to the popstar to open up about her life in front of a camera.

This isn't the first time there's been word of Britney doing a sit-down interview with Oprah. Shortly after her conservatorship ended, it was reported that Britney was approached by Oprah's team for one of her iconic interviews, but the singer declined. Stating that she was "still coming to terms with independent life and mentally processing her freedom” at the time.

However, nearly 2 years have passed now and things could be moving in another direction! Britney has had some time to process her feelings, that no doubt came to the surface when she was putting together her memoir.

But we'll have to err on the side of caution!

"The trauma didn't go away overnight just because the conservatorship ended,” the insider told The Sun UK. "Some days can be extremely testing and conversations can trigger her to behave unusually or even erratically."

"Certainly, putting a TV lens on her could be problematic and it means that a proper news-style interview is out of the question,” the insider added. “However, a more feature-style interview, allowing her and the team to have control is an option.”

"A move like that, to work with a production company or someone like Oprah, would be her strongest play, but the reality is managing Britney's mental well-being and health in the process."

We'll just have to watch this space!
