The search for a missing Irish professor from Trinity College on Mount Everest has been temporarily called down.
It's due to bad conditions on the mountain this morning.
Seamus Lawless from Bray in County Wicklow disappeared while trying to come down from the summit of the world's highest mountain yesterday.
The 39 year old set out on the expedition with his climbing partner Jenny Shirley Copeland in a bid to raise funds for Barretstown Children’s Charity, which supports seriously ill children and their families.
Irish Explorer and Adventurer, Pat Falvey says the search was called down due to bad conditions. He says it's at a very high altitude, the conditions are very bad at the moment.
He said: 'The wind chill is at minus 43.
'What one has to do is just wait and pray. To pray for his family and friends. And Seamus could possibly still be alive.'
