The body of a man found dead inside a burning car in Lucan has been taken to the city morgue for examining.
It's believed he was shot in the head before the navy Toyota Corolla was set alight at Mount Andrew Court last night.
The body was found inside the car at around 8pm.
Gardai are now appealing to anyone who saw the car in recent days to contact them.
The dead man has yet to be identified.
