Leaving Cert students could be facing a points rise for college entry.
It follows news the calculated grades for 57,000 pupils will be better overall than if they sat the traditional Leaving Cert.
The topic is likely to be raised when Education Minister Norma Foley appears before the Oireachtas Committee on Covid-19 later today.
Labour and Sinn Fein are both calling for the grading algorithm to be published urgently.
Appeals
Meanwhile the Department Education says it has no idea how many students will appeal their calculated Leaving Cert Grade.
Students will get their results on Monday, with CAO offers coming the following Friday.
Any student who is unhappy with their grade will be able to view the one their teacher gave them, before it was put through the standardisation system by the Department.
