A 20-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an attempted abduction in Dublin 7.
It happened in the Martin's Grove/Blackhorse Avenue area of Cabra at 7.30am on Monday.
A woman in her sixties managed to escape, when a man tried to force her into the boot of a car.
The suspect drove towards the city centre, in a car described as a silver family saloon.
It drove away via Blackhorse Avenue, and may have turned left and driven onto the Navan Road.
It is believed the suspect was wearing a white t-shirt and dark trousers.
Gardaí are appealing to speak with witnesses.
They also want anyone with dash-cam footage of what happened to hand it in.
