A week after being booed off the pitch by their own supporters, things look a little brighter for Arsene Wenger and his players after they beat Fulham 3-1 at Craven Cottage earlier today.
A 3-0 win at Fenerbache in the Champions League qualifers during the week seemed to lift a load of everyoneÂ’s shoulders as they played with freedom today and tore Fulham apart.
Olivier Giroud opened the scoring after 13 minutes after Aaron RamseyÂ’s shot was deflected to Giroud, who calmly slotted it home.
Lukasz Podolski bagged a double either side of half time to secure the three points.
Dimitar Berbatov set up Darren Bent for a simple tap in after 77 minutes, but it was too little too late for Fulham.
The away supporters were certainly a lot happier heading home today.
