Around 10% of Dublin Fire Brigade's staff are sidelined due to isolation or illness.
11 people have tested positive and approximately 85 are in self isolation.
That comes as calls increased by 21 percent last month, compared to last year.
Chief Fire Officer Dennis Keeley says the Fire Brigade is operating at full capacity.
Councillor Daithi Doolan has called for emergency workers to be tested as a priority:
"Let's make sure that they get tested as quickly as possible, to make sure they're at full capacity."
"The issue is making sure that they're not overstretched, there could be other emergencies that land on our lap that we aren't prepared for - other than Covid."
"We need to make sure Dublin Fire Brigade is fully staffed, fully resourced and fully supported to respond to any emergency, Covid or otherwise."
