The long awaited redevelopment of Dalymount Park in Phibsborough, North Dublin is expected to be approved this evening.
Under these plans the existing Bohemian FC stadium will be demolished and replaced with a new 40 million euro facility which can seat just over 8 thousand people.
The pitch will be re-oriented to ensure better light - there have been some concerns raised about the new floodlighting but the Council says the lights with be slimmer and slightly lower.
There will also be a community facility with a gym, shops, club offices and a function room.
Construction is expected to take 20 months and should be complete ahead of the 2027 League of Ireland season.
The issue will be discussed this evening at Dublin City Council's monthly meeting where it's expected to be approved.
