Dublin City Council has announced that applications are now open for businesses to apply for funding for outdoor seating and accessories.
The scheme is open to attractions, hotels, restaurants, cafes, pubs or other tourism and hospitality business establishments where food is sold for consumption on the premises.
The Outdoor Dining Enhancement Scheme covers tables, chairs, umbrellas, electric heaters, and screens.
The scheme will provide for up to 75% of the cost of equipment up to a maximum of €4,000.
Under The Outdoor Dining Enhancement Scheme, businesses can request financial support to purchase or upgrade equipment to provide additional outdoor seating and, therefore, increase their outdoor dining capacity for summer 2021.
The following items are considered eligible for the scheme:
- Tables
- Chairs
- Umbrellas
- Electric heaters
- Screens/windbreaks
- Plant stands
- Wooden Platform
The Outdoor Dining Enhancement Scheme is being delivered in partnership with Fáilte Ireland and Local Authorities across the country.
Funding under the scheme is only available to existing businesses.
