The sister of a woman missing from Clondalkin for 12 years, says her 'dreaded thought' is, she's been kidnapped or trafficked.
Berna Fidan is appealing for information on the anniversary of Esra Uyrun's disappearance.
The mum of one hasn't been seen since February 23rd, 2011, when she left her home at 7.15am in Collinstown Grove and went to the shop. She was driving her silver Renault Twingo, registration number 08D23067. She is 5ft 3in with dark hair, blonde highlights and green eyes. When she was last seen was wearing a dark top, black leggings and white Nike trainers. CCTV captured her car turning right from Convent Avenue into Strand Road in Bray at 8.40am on the same day.
Her elder sister, Berna Fidan has led a tireless campaign to find out what happened to her sister. Her family believe Esra was abducted between leaving home and where her car was found abandoned.
Her car was later found in Bray and Berna fears the worst.
''She can't keep quiet for this long unless someone is keeping her quiet. I mean the dreaded thought is, Was she taken? Was she trafficked? Was she taken somewhere and she can't get to us? These are the answers we want.''
''I can't believe my sister can go missing and then if her car was seen in Bray. Did someone see her get out of the car? Or did someone see her drive past? We are just pleading with someone. If they remember anything at all....it may be so small but it may lead our search somewhere else We just need someone to come forward.''
