The Witches remake will star Anne Hathaway.
Director Robert Zemeckis has reportedly cast Hathaway as the Grand High Witch.
Anjelica Huston originally portrayed the title role in the 1990 classic.
Based on the 1973 novel by Roald Dahl, the film follows a young boy who stumbles onto a witch convention and must stop them, even after he has been turned into a mouse.

It's understood the new movie will be more true to the original story.
The film's release date has yet to be announced.
Netflix recently announced plans to adapt Roald Dahl classics into TV show.
