Amazon is cutting 18 thousand jobs from its workforce.
The tech giant is the latest company to announce a mass layoff amid economic uncertainty.
18,000 Amazon employees are facing the exit door in what's become the biggest layoff in the company's history.
It's expected Amazon Fresh and Amazon Go, the company's convenience and grocery stores, will be particularly impacted.

The expected 18,000 jobs being cut make up for 6 per cent of Amazon's workforce worldwide.
Those working in Human Resources will also be particularly impacted, that's according to reports.
Only last year, Amazon announced increases to base pay - to retain workers and hire more talent.
The company has opened a Fulfilment Centre in Baldonnell Business Park in Dublin.
