Aldi teams up with Deliveroo
Aldi has teamed up with Deliveroo to trial a home delivery service.
The trail started at the East Wall store today and will extend to the Terenure store on Wednesday.
Customers will be able to shop over 140 Aldi products on the Deliveroo app.
Aldi staff will then pick and pack the order and Deliveroo riders will drop it off.
Delivery in minutes
The 140 products are limited to essential items for now.
These include bread, milk, and other fresh produce that will be delivered within 30 minutes.
Niall O'Connor, Group Managing Director at Aldi UK and Ireland said, 'We hope the new trial with Deliveroo will provide more customers with access to great quality, affordable food at Aldi.'
'This is a new and exciting venture for Aldi and we will be constantly reviewing how we can best serve our customers and continue to provide them with the high quality products they are used to in store.'
If the trail is successful we could see more Aldi stores offering the service before the end of the year.
