Aldi To Create 278 New Jobs In Dublin This Year

Aldi is to create over 1,000 new jobs across the country this year.

It will also open a number of new stores.

These new roles being announced today will include 700 permanent positions and 350 temporary jobs.

It is seeking to recruit 278 new employees for its stores in Dublin. Opportunities available include 146 permanent positions.

The supermarket chain will be hiring managers, assistant managers and store assistants, for shops across the country.

Aldi will open four new stores in the coming months in Bayside, Dunshaughlin Co Meath, Douglas in Co Cork, and Newbridge in Co Kildare.

Commenting, Niall O’Connor, Group Managing Director Aldi Ireland said:

“Our stores have seen a major increase in customer footfall since the Covid-19 pandemic began and our staff have played a central role in ensuring people have had access to essential best value groceries in a safe environment.”

“With ambitious plans to open more stores across the country, we require 1,050 new staff to join the Aldi team this year, so we can continue providing the best shopping experience in Ireland. This includes recruiting 278 new employees for our stores in County Dublin. We need the very best people to join the Aldi team to help us continue to deliver the highest level of customer service and lowest grocery prices in Ireland.”

Aldi currently employs over 4,500 people.
