Ireland's first ever alcohol free bar is opening in Dublin next month.
The Virgin Mary Bar on Capel Street will open in February. The venue will look and feel like a bar but will serve drinks containing zero alcohol.
The drinks menu will include a selection of alcohol-free beers, wines and spirits.
The Idea Behind The Virgin Mary Bar
The pub is the brainchild of Vaughan Yates, creative director of design collective 1951 and Oisin Davis, the founder of Great Irish Beverages.
Speaking to The Spirits Business about the new venture, Oisin said: "If a fellow Dubliner wants to catch up with mates after 4pm in the city but doesn’t want to hang out in a pub, the only options available to them are multi-national cafes that largely lack any atmosphere.
"I’m really looking forward to changing that and finally giving people an alternative.”
The Virgin Mary Bar will open from 4pm-11pm 7 days a week from mid February.
