Actress Angela Lansbury has died at the age of 96 in her home in Los Angeles.
Angela was born in 1925.
The actress shared Irish routes as her mother Moyna MacGill was an Irish woman. And for many years, the 'Murder, She Wrote' star lived in County Cork.
The actress rose to fame in the mid 1940's, debuting her first movie in 1944 called 'Gaslight'.
Her role in Gaslight earned her an Academy Award nomination for best supporting actress that year.
Although Angela was widely known for 'Murder, She Wrote', some fans knew her better as Mrs. Potts from Beauty And The Beast and her role in 'Bedknobs And Broomsticks'.
The actress passed away just 5 days before her 97th birthday.
