The acting Chief Medical Officer's urging the people of Dublin to break the 'chains of transmission' of Covid-19.
121 of the 211 cases reported in the country yesterday are in the capital.
Ireland's 14 day average of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 people has increased by more than a third in the past seven days.
New figures from the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control puts the country's average at 40.6.
It was 29.6 last Saturday.
Glynn Appeals To Dubliners - Take Positive Action
Dr. Ronan Glynn says the number of coronavirus infections could double in Dublin over the next two weeks if people don't take immediate action.
He says clusters in households are the main concern:
"We are now reporting an average of 104 new cases per day in Dublin."
"Over the past fortnight alone we've reported 1,055 cases there."
"The disease is growing at approximately 4% per day in the Capital."
"If nothing were to change, we'd expect to see the number of new cases in Dublin double over the next 14 days."

Household Gatherings Are A Concern - Glynn
211 new cases were confirmed last night - with 121 in Dublin alone.
With the disease growing at approximately 4 percent per day in the capital - Ronan Glynn says urgent action's needed:
"We're seeing lots of cases clustered in households, and these clusters are spread all across Dublin City and County."
"The vast majority of cases in Dublin are in younger people."
"Fortunately admissions to hospital and critical care units remains low."
"While the proportion of cases which cannot be linked to other cases is similar to what we're seeing in the rest of the country."
