ABBA fans rejoice
ABBA are back!
Band member Björn Ulvaeus has confirmed that the group have five new songs ready to go.
Ulvaeus gave an update on the new music during an interview with the Reasons To Be Cheerful podcast this week .
Co-host Geoff Lloyd said, 'I got to spend an hour with Björn Ulvaeus from ABBA via Zoom. He's quarantining – he's got an island in the Stockholm archipelago.'
'They've recorded five new songs,' Lloyd revealed.
'They should have been out at the end of last year… Because of technical difficulties and the pandemic, it's delayed things.'
While we were due to get two new songs this year, we'll now get five new tracks in 2021 instead.
The release will mark the first time in 27 years that Abba have put out new music.
Their last studio album came out in 1982!
