21 years after the film was first released, a sequel to How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days is in “early development”.
The film’s stars Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey have both been approached to return for the sequel, and a first draft of the script is in the works.
According to MailOnline, Kate Hudson has signed onto the film, and is also trying to convince her famous mam Goldie Hawn to get involved as well.
The sequel is reportedly set to follow Kate Hudson’s character as she prepares to marry Benjamin (Matthew McConaughey) while navigating her fractured relationship with her mother.
While there are no reports that Matthew McConaughey has signed on to the sequel, Kate Hudson revealed in an interview earlier this year that the pair of them were both up for it.
“I think [the studios] are always thinking about that,” she said during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live.
“All that matters would be the script and if Matthew and I were into the script. I think we’re both totally open; it has just never happened.”
