A rally against the extension of the JobBridge scheme from nine to 18 months will take place in the city this afternoon.
Youth members from a number of trade unions including the ICTU, UNITE, Mandate and the Young Workers Network will all take part.
Under the scheme, unemployed people can take up internships while earning an extra €50 on top of their job seeker's allowance.
A 2012 survey by Indecon found that over half (52%) of JobBridge participants ended up in full-time employment.
However many have criticised the scheme, saying that it encourages people to work for free.
The protest will take place outside the FÁS offices on D'Olier Street from 3 o'clock today.
