Mossy Quinn scored 1-8 at Parnell Park as St. Vincent's saw off Summerhill by 1-14 to 1-10 to set up a Leinster final showdown with Portlaoise in a fortnight's time. Diarmuid Connolly and Ger Brennan were both missing through suspension but it was their former Dublin team-mate who stepped up to the plate with a superb display for the Marino.
Quinn's first half goal sparked the Dublin champions into life and led by 1-7 to 0-6 at the break and Vins had to hold off a determined fightback from Summerhill when Paul Rispin grabbed a goal and points from Sean Dalton, Adrian Kenny and Gillespie brought them within a point of Tommy Conroy's men.
But the Vins kept their composure and closed out the game with late scores from Quinn, Ruairi Trainor and Eamon Fennell.
