The 7th "National Stammering Awareness Day" is being held in Dublin today.
The aim of the N.S.A.D. is to promote awareness and understanding of stammering as well as to provide support to people who stammer in the Irish community.
The stammering community insist there are limited state services available for children and adults who are challenged by stammering and are calling on the government and the general public for further support.
"National Stammering Awareness Day" will run from 10am until 5pm in the Hilton Hotel in Kilmainham.
