The Irish Heart Foundation is to hold a memorial service today for those who've lost their lives through Sudden Cardiac Death.
It's estimated that around 5,000 people die from the condition each year in this country and it's hoped that today's candle light ceremony at Monkstown church will honour their memory.
also known as S-C-D or SADS, is usually attributed to cases where no other cause of death can be found, in a seemingly healthy adult.
