The plan to cut services at Loughlinstown Hospital in Dublin could be a matter of life and death for some patients.
That's according to People before Profit, who are oppossing the plan to downgrade Loughlinstown Hospital's 24 hour A&E service to a day time minor injuries unit.
Loughlinstown serves 160,000 people in South County Dublin and Wicklow and treats 20,000 patients each year.
Richard Boyd Barrett from the group will be holding a protest outside Loughlinstown Hosiptal at 2pm today.
He says that St.Vincents Hospital will not be able to cope with the extra demand put on it following the closure of the A&E Unit in Loughlinstown and has this message for the Health Minister James Reilly;
