A new state of the art facility for children with heart problems will open tomorrow at Our Lady’s Hospital in Crumlin.
The €4.5M needed to build the unit was raised entirely through private donations and charity fund raising.
It includes a 25-bed dedicated infant and child cardiac unit along with support accommodation and services for families and staff.
Families of children who are in need of a heart transplant have told 98FM News the facility will make their ordeal a lot easier.
