A 29-year-old man is due to appear in court this afternoon charged with the murder of a grandad in Skerries.
55-year-old Michael Gannon was attacked and stabbed to death while he was minding his two grandchildren in Mourne Park on Thursday evening.
Shortly afterwards, a 29-year-old Romanian man was arrested.
He was held and questioned at Balbriggan Garda Station and was charged by Gardaí earlier today.
He'll now appear before a special sitting of the Criminal Courts of Justice in Dublin at 4.30 this afternoon.
