A man's fighting for his life in hospital after a vicious assault in Swords yesterday. Another man remains in Garda custody after being arrested at the scene.
It's believed a row began on the main street in Swords between two men who are not originally from Ireland.
It's reported one of the men - in his 40s - was viciously attacked with a baseball bat.
The Herald reports eye witnesses saw him suffering a violent blow to the back of the head.
He was rushed to Beaumont Hospital where he's in a critical condition.
Another man in his 30s was arrested at the scene.
He's being held at Coolock Garda Station where he must be charged or released by tonight.
