A Dublin man has avoided a jail term for sending crude sexual texts to a 15-year-old boy.
Kenneth Shortall of Bluebell Avenue, Bluebell admitted sending the obscene messages over an eleven day period in November 2010.
He'd been texting the boy for around a month before one of the teenager’s friends noticed them and told the boy’s mother.
Today, Judge Mary Ellen Ring accepted his remorse and gave him the benefit of the doubt by handing down a three year suspended sentence.
