Gardai investigating a hit and run in the city have arrested a man in his 30s.
A 34-year-old man is fighting for his life in hospital after he was knocked down in Drumcondra yesterday afternoon.
The victim of yesterday’s hit and run is on life support after he was hit by a car near his home on Trinity Lane at the back of Clonliffe road.
It happened during lunchtime yesterday and he was rushed to the Mater Hospital with severe head injures.
The driver left the scene before the alarm was raised and a car, believed to have been involved, was later found burnt out in East Wall.
At around midday today, a man in his mid 30s was arrested by investigating Gardai.
He’s currently being held at Mountjoy Garda Station.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
