The RepTrak study places us ahead of New York, Paris and Barcelona.
The survey looks at how much people trust, admire, respect and have an affinity for a city or country.
Dublin has jumped ten places from 30th last year, with particular improvement in the Advanced Economy scoring.
That focuses on well respected products and services, financial stability, business environment, technology, and headquarters of leading companies.
This year, Sydney emerged as the city with the best reputation.
